Progress of Physics-based Mean-field Modeling and Simulation of Steel

Abstract The progress of mean-field modeling and simulation in steel is presented. In the modeling, focus put on development application a physical base, including Calphad, diffusion assessment, nucleation growth precipitates, dislocation dynamics. This leads to an improved prediction materials response after different thermo-mechanical treatments terms microstructure evolution mechanical properties. presented case studies represent success integrated computational engineering approach.
